Dog Leash

These are my renderings of my teams original dog leash concept. We focused on the safety conditions of a retractable leash in the jerk of the lock and night walks, as well as creating a design that was convenient and aesthetic.

Our solution for this was a classic retractable shape with an elastic tail to allow for some give after locking the leash. We gave it a silicon pouch for bags of any kind and I decorated it with reflective stripes for safety at night. We decided on a trigger system rather than the traditional button because the comfort and ease of getting to the grip of a trigger when a dog runs off rather than the awkward thumb movement that a button gives.
